This policy explains what personal information Azed Limited (“Azed AI”, “we”) collects through azed.ai, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Who we are
Azed Limited is a New Zealand company based in Auckland. For any privacy question or request, contact our privacy officer at hello@azed.ai.
What we collect and why
When you send us a project brief
The contact form asks for your name, company, work email, the kind of engagement you're interested in and a description of your project. We use this only to reply to you and discuss the work. The form is delivered to our inbox by email, and we send you a short confirmation email. It isn't stored on the web server.
When you join the newsletter
We collect your email address, the date and time you signed up and the page you signed up on. These details are emailed to our inbox; nothing is stored on the web server. We'll use your address only to send our newsletter, and every newsletter will include a way to unsubscribe, as the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 requires.
When you use the AI demo
The “Try it now” demo sends the description you type to Google's Gemini API, which generates the sample plan. We don't store what you type. Google processes it under its paid API terms, which say it isn't used to train Google's models; Google may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse. Please don't enter confidential or personal information in the demo.
Protecting the forms from abuse
To stop spam and automated abuse, the forms and demo use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical signals from your browser (such as your IP address) to confirm you're a person. We also limit how often each visitor can use them. For that, the server keeps a one-way, salted fingerprint of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to two days. When you send a brief, it also keeps a fingerprint of your email address for the same period, so it sends no more than one confirmation email to an address each day.
Web server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider records standard technical details of each request, such as IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept for a limited period.
Analytics and cookies
The site doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add Google Analytics in future, it will only run after you agree, and we'll update this policy first.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information. We use these service providers to run the site:
- Hostinger: website hosting and our email.
- Google: the Gemini API that powers the AI demo.
- Cloudflare: Turnstile spam protection and our domain's DNS.
These providers may process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and the European Union. We choose providers whose privacy and security protections we consider comparable to those of the Privacy Act. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and sign-up emails for as long as we need them to respond, to work with you, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete them. Rate-limiting fingerprints are deleted after two days.
Keeping it secure
The site is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions are checked on the server and delivered by email; keys and passwords are kept on the server, never in the browser. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think you've found a problem, please see our security page.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@azed.ai and we'll respond within 20 working days. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
